Awande was born on 18 July 2011 at The Bay Hospital in KwaZulu, South Africa. He lives with his mother Zoe Mthiyane. Awande is always spending quality time with his father. Robert has always been there in his son’s life and he is known as one of the best fathers in Mzansi.
After the separation of his parents, there was a battle between Zoe claiming that Robert was a deadbeat father to his son. She accused him of failing to pay the child support which Robert Marawa came out and cleared the media and denied the claims.
