Zoe Mthiyane (born 9 November 1983) is a South African actress and singer. She is famously known for her role in the popular television show Generations as Zitha Langa. She later appeared in The Legend of Tarzan (2016) and She Is King (2017).

Early life and education
Zoe Mthiyane was born on 9 November 1983 and raised in Mabhuyeni KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
She lived in a polygamous family with her mother “Clara Nthalane” and her five siblings four (4) boys and one (1) girl. Zoe’s father had four wives and Zoe’s mother was the youngest.
Zoe’s mother was a model and won a beauty contest in 1973. She taught her daughter to walk in heels so that she could gain self-confidence. She lost her mother when she was five (5) years old.
Mthiyane attended the boarding section of Little Flower Primary School and after graduating, she was enrolled in Ixopo High School boarding.
Career
Zoe participated in Coca-Cola Pop Stars in 2003. She has been in the entertainment industry for a very long time over fourteen (14) years.
Zoe made her actress debut in the South African television series Generations as Zitha in 2014. In 2016, she appeared in the film The Legend of Tarzan where she portrayed the role of a vocalist.
In 2017, Zoe was cast in She Is King as Katherine, she also continued to play in Generations.
Personal life
Children
Zoe has two (2) children, her first son Awande Marawa whom she gave to on 18 July 2011, at The Bay Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Robert Marawa is the father to Awande Marawa.
After their separation from Robert Marawa, Zoe had her second born Lulonke with Lebo M her baby daddy and their relationship didn’t last for long because they both refused to agree on their pre-nuptial contract.
Relationships
Zoe’s love life has been attached to his baby daddies Robert Marawa and Lebo M, not until the rumors of her dating Rapulana Seiphemo who is also a fellow cast member. She later fell into depression because Rapulana Seiphemo cheated on her with another cast member on set.
Drinking problems
Zoe has a drinking problem that affected her relationships and career, it was reported that she was fired from Generations because of the drinking problem.
She puts the blame on her ex-boyfriend and baby daddy, Robert Marawa, who influenced her in a certain way. This condition affected her career since she used to forget the lines and sometimes collapsed at work during the cast which slowed the projects like Generations. Her bosses warned her to get help for her drinking habit.
