Eileen Gu Biography
Eileen Gu (born 3 September 2003), also known by her Chinese name, Gu Ailing, is an American-Chinese freestyle skier who was born and brought up in San Francisco, California, USA.
At the age of 17, she became the champion of the Winter X-games Aspen women freestyle skiing and has been nicknamed the Daredevil.
At age 18, Gu became the youngest Olympic champion in freestyle skiing after winning gold medals in big air and halfpipe and a silver medal in slopestyle at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. She is the first freestyle skier to win three medals at a single Winter Olympics.

Early Life
Eileen Gu was born on 3 September 2003 in San Francisco, California, U.S. to a China-born mother and American father.
She was put into ski school in Lake Tahoe by her mother so that the daughter could keep up with her. Later her mother realized that she accidentally made a pro skier out of her daughter.
Eileen completed her schooling at San Francisco University High School. In March 2021 she wrote on a microblogging site that she was recognized as a candidate for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program in January but she did not win the scholarship. She has also shown her support for Black Lives Matter and Anti-Asian oratory.
Career and Achievements
Eileen participated in the Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championship (FIS) 2021 and won two gold medals in & Freeski Slopestyle and & Freeski Halfpipe.
She became one of the first and youngest freeskiers to win two gold medals at the FIS Freeski World Championship. She also took part in;Freeski Big Air and won a bronze medal, but unfortunately got injured with a broken hand.
Apart from skiing her side job includes modeling and has worked for different brands and magazines and has become the regular model of the New York Fashion Show. Eileen has also been featured in VOGUE, Victorias Secret collective, and ELLE. She is currently the brand ambassador of Tiffany and Co
