He gained popularity after starring in dramas like High Kick Through the Roof (2009), School 2013 (2013), Jugglers (2017) and The Ghost Detective (2018). His films like Cyrano Agency and The Beast. Choi is also a DJ on KBS 2FM since 2013.

Early life and education
Choi Daniel was born in 22 February 1986, in seoul, South Korea. He attended Chungwoon University but quit after one semester. Choi is the second child of his parents. He has an older brother (6 years his elder) and father.
Choi’s mother died when he was 5 years old. He grew up with his aunt. The name Daniel was given to him by his mother because he was considered a gift from God.
His mother had serious morning sickness when pregnant with his elder brother, thus did not consider having a second child.
Career
Choi Daniel debuted in 2009 with High Kick Through the Roof. He then starred in Baby Faced Beauty with Jang Na-ra, Ryu Jin and Kim Min-seo. Choi was cast in rom-com film Cyrano Agency with Uhm Tae-woong, Park Shin-hye, Park Chul-min and Lee Min-jung in 2010.
In 2013, Choi Daniel starred in The Traffickers with Im Chang-jung, Oh Dal-su and Jo Yoon-hee. He was cast in School 2013 with Jang Nara, Lee Jong-suk, Park Se-young and Kim Woo-bin. Choi then appeared in sci-fi thriller film 11: A.M.
In 2014, Choi was cast in heist film The Con Artists with Kim Woo-bin, Lee Hyun-woo and Ko Chang-seok. He then starred in Jugglers with Kang Ji-hwan, Lee Da-hee, and Jung So-min. In 2018, Choi was cast in The Ghost Detective along side Park Eun-bin and Lee Ji-ah.
Choi Daniel appeared in My Fellow Citizens! as Newly-wed in episode 11. He also appeared in It’s Okay to Not Be Okay as CEO Choi Daniel.
In 2022, Choi Daniel will appear in Fly High Butterfly, and Today’s Webtoon.
Military enlistment
Choi Daniel was enlisted in the Republic of Korea Army to serve his mandatory military service on 2 October. He injured his knee while shooting the drama “School 2013” in 2012. Choi was assigned to serve at the Seoul VHS Medical Center as a public service worker.
Choi Daniel recieved award from the Military Manpower Administration at the Seoul Regional Office of the MMA, for sincere work ethics.
Choi was discharged on 1 October 2017, and he was advanced 2 days due to the Chuseok holidays. Jigglers was his first project after the discharge.
Choi’s brother got married when he was filming the drama.
