South Africa<\/strong> is divided into nine provinces namely; the Eastern Cape<\/strong>, Free State<\/strong>, Gauteng<\/strong>, KwaZulu-Natal<\/strong>, Limpopo<\/strong>, Mpumalanga<\/strong>, North West<\/strong>, Northern Cape<\/strong>, and Western Cape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gauteng is the smallest, most crowded, and most urbanised, while the Northern Cape is the largest but arid and mostly empty, taking up almost a third of South Africa\u2019s total land area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each of the nine provinces has its own Legislature<\/strong>, Premier<\/strong>, and Executive Council<\/strong>.<\/p>
