The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is the department of the Western Cape Government mandated to provide public healthcare to the population of the Western Cape province of South Africa.
The Department aims to deliver equal access to a comprehensive package of quality health services for the people of the Wetsern Cape province.
The Department is continually working towards a well-managed health system that benefits all residents of the Western Cape province.
The Department’s services include child health, emergency medical services, family planning, forensic pathology services, women’s health, men’s health, tuberculosis (TB) and HIV/AIDS services, psychiatric services, as well as home-based care.

In partnership with relevant stakeholders, the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness aims to provide equitable access to quality health services within a balanced and well-managed health system to the people of the Western Cape province and beyond.
