Venterstad, Eastern Cape

Venterstad is a settlement in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, situated at the intersection of the R58 Provincial Route and the R390 Regional Route, approximately 41 km south-east of Norvalspont and 59 km north-west of Burgersdorp.

The village was laid out in 1875 and attained municipal status in 1895. It was named after the owner of the land on which it was established, Johannes J. T. Venter.

Venterstad falls within the Walter Sisulu Local Municipality, which is part of the Joe Gqabi District Municipality.
