University of Zululand (UNIZULU)

The University of Zululand (UNIZULU) is a comprehensive university situated in Empangeni in the King Cetshwayo District of the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa.

UNIZULU was established in 1960 with the help of the Prince of KwaPhindangene, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, who was also chancellor of the institution when it founded.

The University of Zululand offers qualifications in Arts; Education; Science and Agriculture, as well as Commerce, Administration and Law.

UNIZULU promotes focused learning that opens doors to life-changing opportunities for personal, societal and national growth.

The University of Zululand is overseen by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) under the National Government of South Africa.
