Early life and Education
Tharina Botes was born on November 17, 1996, in Roodepoort, Gauteng, South Africa. She spends most of her precious time with her grandmother, Madeline Botes.
Botes has a sister who is 2 years younger than her and a brother who is 10 years younger than her.
She studied commerce in Damelin in 2018. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce and economics- BComMarketing from the University of South Africa in 2019.

Modeling Career
On 30 March 2014, Botes won the Miss Teen Gauteng 2014. She attended the coronation night time with her friend at Solar Metropolis Superbowl Solar Metropolis, Moses Kotane, North West, South Africa.
On 27 October 2016, Tharina went to Miss Worldwide and represented South Africa. Out of the 68 different candidates, she was unplaced in Tokyo, Japan.
On 27 May 2018, Tharina Botes competed in opposition to 27 different finalists at Miss South Africa 2018 in Pretoria, South Africa. She was among the candidates from Gauteng and Tharina finished in the Top 12.
On 29 April 2019, she was topped Miss Grand Phuket 2019 on the Novotel Phuket Phokeethra in Phuket.
On 13 July 2019, Tharina Botes represented Phuket at Miss Grand Thailand 2019 and competed in opposition to 76 different candidates at the Bangkok Worldwide Commerce and Exhibition Centre, in Bangkok. She completed in the Top 10.
On 24 October 2021, Tharina represented Phuket at Miss Universe Thailand 2021 and competed against 29 other candidates at the Scala Theatre in Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, Pattaya, Thailand. She was the first runner-up to Anchilee Scott-Kemmis.
