South African Airways Technical (SOC) Ltd (SAAT), also known as SAA Technical, is a full-service MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) organisation, the largest in Africa.

SAA Technical is a subsidiary of South African Airways (SAA), which is monitored by the Department of Transport (DOT) under the National Government of South Africa.

South African Airways Technical (SAAT) has a solid reputation with more than 80 years’ experience as a world-class aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organisation, Components Support and Engine repair including overhaul services, with full uninterrupted US Federal Aviation Authority certification since the late 1980s, continuously serving an increasing range of local and international airlines.

South African Airways Technical’s main operational base is located in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, with Line Maintenance capabilities at most major airports domestically and in Africa.

SAA Technical (SAAT) has a collective people-asset base of over 2,200 highly skilled staff.
