Soebatsfontein is a settlement in Kamiesberg Local Municipality under the Namakwa District Municipality in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.
Soebatsfontein is located approximately 48 km north-west of Kamieskroon and 80 km south-west of Springbok.
The settlement’s name Soebatsfontein, means “begging or pleading fountain” in Afrikaans. The name dates from an incident about 1898 in which Hendrik S(t)ievert, a farmhand, was murdered by San in spite of his begging for mercy.
