Sheila Gashumba Biography
Sheila Gashumba is a Ugandan TV host, commercial model, dancer, business woman, digital influencer, fashionista and event MC. She is the daughter of Ugandan businessman, motivational speaker and political activist Frank Gashumba.
Biography And Family
Sheila Gashumba was born February 7th, 1996 in Kampala, Uganda. Her birth (original) names are Nyinabashumba Carol but she later changed them to Sheila Gashumba shortly after joining TV. Her father is Frank Gashumba and her mother is Tinah Mukuza, Sheila has two sisters, Celine Gashumba and Catherine Muteesi Gashumba.
She is best known as the youngest Journalist to cover the well known CHOGM in 2009, which was presided over by The Queen of England. She is most recognizable for having worked for a widely read daily newspaper ‘Daily Monitor’ in a column called CHOGM Teens.
Education Background
For her nursery and primary school education, Sheila Gashumba went to Little Angels Nakasero, then Taibah Junior School (currently Taibah International), she then completed her Primary Seven at City Parents Primary school where she scored four Aggregates. She then joined Mt St Mary’s Namagunga for her O-level before joining Kabojja International School.
In 2015 she revealed that she was going to enroll at Middlesex University in London to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Communications, she however did not proceed with this arrangement. She instead pursued a TV presenting course at City Varsity Media And Creative Arts School in Cape Town, South Africa in order to hone her TV presenting skills.
In August of 2019, her father Frank Gashumba was interviewed on local TV Show Uncut on NBS TV by one of the hosts Anatalia Ozzy and he revealed that his daughter Sheila would have gone to University but she was misled by her mother Tinah. This clearly explains why she never enrolled at Middlesex University like she had revealed in 2015.
Career
Sheila Gashumba first graced the silver screen at a tender age of 10, as a News Anchor and Reporter of the Kids News show on WBS TV. The gig saw her land a role as a brand ambassador of AQUA SAFE WATER to promote clean and safe drinking water for children.
Two years later, she upgraded to TEENS CLUB, a live entertainment programme that also tackled issues that resonated with teens, as the youngest amongst a team of five teen presenters. The show used to air for two hours every Saturday.
In 2009, Sheila Gashumba achieved another milestone as the youngest journalist to cover the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which was presided over by The Queen of England, in Kampala, Uganda. During this momentous period, she stringed for Daily Monitor, Uganda’s most widely read and respected independent newspaper, in the CHOGM Teens column.
Sheila also co-hosted T-Nation on NTV Uganda for three years, always looking for constant growth, Sheila upgraded to THE BEAT, a musical show on NTV alongside Douglas Lwanga where she presented the highly acclaimed Exclusive Access segment. Exclusive Access was a 15 minutes show on THE BEAT that provided exclusive information, studio sessions, behind the scenes of the entertainment industry and the people that run it.
Sheila is the first and only Ugandan TV presenter to have covered the Channel O Music Video Awards, which were held in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2014 and the Big Brother Africa finals in the same year.
Business
Sheila Gashumba is also a business minded young lady and in late 2014, she started her own brand house GASH GLAM that deals in 100 per cent human hair extensions, trendy sunglasses, waist trainers and stylish clothes. She also ventured into events management and is behind Sarafina Events that organized the sold out UG-Rwanda night.
Sheila Gashumba And Grenade
Sheila once dated musician Grenade Official before God’s Plan came into the picture, they later broke up by kept on seeing each other and having a romantic relationship even when Sheila was dating God’s Plan. So it safe to say that Sheila was cheating on God’s Plan with Grenade Official.
Sheila Gashumba And Fik Fameica
Sheila and local Uganda musician Fik Fameica dated between 2017 and 2018, but whenever they were are asked about their close relationship, they both keep referring to themselves as best friends and yet their actions suggested otherwise.
However in a one Instagram post, Sheila Gashumba came out to indirectly warn Fik Fameica to be careful with her heart because she had invested her life in him.’’ Where you invest your love is where you invest your life. Be careful where you step’’ she wrote.
Sheila’s father Frank Gashumba was not happy at all with his daughter dating Fik Fameica stating that this boy was too local and cheap to be with his daughter, the couple soon broke up and Sheila confirmed it that her father did not like Fik Fameica at all.
Sheila Gashumba And God’s Plan
From Fik Fameica, Sheila then began dating former convict God’s Plan. Well for those of you who are not aware, Ali Lwanga also known as God’s Plan is a convicted robber in the United Kingdom. At the age of just 21, Ali Lwanga carried out multiple robberies in the United Kingdom in which he stole thousands of pounds worth of cash between the years 2007 and 2008. His luck ran out and he was arrested on February 12th, 2008 after being tracked down by the Met’s Flying Squad.
Investigating officer DC Laurie Bays, from Barking Flying Squad, said: “Lwanga was a prolific robber who claimed he was committing crime to pay off debts.”
Ali Lwanga was convicted and jailed for eight years after which he was banned and deported from the United Kingdom, he came back to his home country Uganda and started dating an innocent and young Sheila Gashumba.
Pregnancy
Well for those of you who have been asking the question, is Sheila Gashumba pregnant? here is the answer.
It’s true Sheila Gashumba was pregnant at one point but she lost the pregnancy after being beaten by her boyfriend God’s Plan after he found romantic messages in her phone from her ex-boyfriend Fik Fameika. Sheila’s pregnancy was in its earliest stages and apparently she lost it in the fight.
Net Worth
Sheila Gashumba is not poor, nor is she struggling in life but she is not rich like most people think. She is just a girl who was raised by a fairly rich father, went to good schools and started working on TV at a very young age. Obviously she has some money in the bank but it is not that much to begin estimating what her net worth is.

Charity
Sheila Gashumba loves doing charity and in 2012 she founded her charity organisation, Young Bodies Big Hearts.
Her charity organisation does charity events annually and has given back to Sanyu Babies Home and God’s Image Ministry Charity home among others.
Through Young Bodies Big Hearts, Sheila also organised a Charity Fundraising Fashion Show at Kampala Sheraton Hotel where the Guest of Honour was the then Minister of Health, Dr. Ruhakana Ruganda. Many other VIPs were in attendance and the organisation brought smiles to faces of children in Mulago Hospital Children’s ward with the proceeds.
