MTN8 Final 2025: Orlando Pirates player ratings vs Stellenbosch FC
Orlando Pirates has won a fourth consecutive MTN8 trophy following a convincing display against Stellenbosch Football Club in the last 30 minutes of the final
The Buccaneers were victorious in Mbombela as they sauntered to a 3 – 0 win against Steve Barker‘s Stellies side that tried their best in the first 90 minutes of the game.
The Sea Robbers didn’t play well in the first half of the game but they managed to produce a spectacular display in extra time following Abdeslam Ouaddou’s much needed substitutes that were done in the second half.
Abdeslam Ouaddou took off Sipho Mbule and brought on Oswin Appollis in the 61st minutes.
Then in the 74th minute, Abdeslam Ouaddou made two other substitutions, taking off Thabiso Lebitso and Evidence Makgopa and replacing them with Tshepang Moremi and Tshegofatso Mabasa respectively.
These above subsitutes paid off heavily especialy in extra time as Moremi found the back of the net in the 92nd minutes.
Tshegofatso Mabasa then doubled the Sea Robbers lead in the 103rd minutes before Moremi killed off the game with Pirates’ third and his second of the night in the 110th minutes.
