The Northern Cape Economic Development, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (NCEDA) is a public entity owned by the Northern Cape Provincial Government through the Northern Cape Department of Economic Development and Tourism.

The mandate of the Northern Cape Economic Development, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency is:
- To plan and assist with business enterprise and rural development
- Provide funding in respect of approved enterprise development
- Engage in project management
- Engage in the development and management of immovable property
- Promote foreign trade and investment
The strategic direction of the Northern Cape Economic Development, Trade and Investment Promotion Agency with regards to economic development focuses on the key sectors of tourism and agriculture. As such, a number of approved projects are supported in the form of contributing to pre-feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, business plan development, and facilitation of funding applications.
Strategic direction with regards to trade and investment promotion focuses on the key areas of exporter development and providing an information service to traders and investors, with specific reference to the available incentives and market access opportunities.
