The Mpumalanga Department of Human Settlements is part of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government in the Mpumalanga Province of South Africa.

The mission of the Mpumalanga Department of Human Settlements is to facilitate the creation of integrated sustainable human settlements.

The strategic goals of the Mpumalanga Department of Human Settlements are:

  • The upgrading of accommodation within the informal settlements
  • Improvement of access to basic services
  • Provision of affordable accommodation within the gap market
  • Mobilisation of well-located public land for low income and affordable housing
  • Provision of housing for the establishment of integrated sustainable human settlements
