Moedwil is a small town near Swartruggens, in the North West Province of South Africa.
The town was the site of a battle during the Second Boer War where for actions during the battle, William Bees was awarded the Victoria Cross.
Moedwil is part of Kgetlengrivier Local Municipality under the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality of North West Province.
