The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature is the legislature of the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa and is part of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature consists of 80 members elected by a system of party-list proportional representation.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature is located on Langalibalele Street in Pietermaritzburg.
The Seventh Provincial Legislature of the KwaZulu-Natal province was elected on 29 May 2024 in South Africa’s 2024 general elections. A majority of the members belong to the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP).
The vision of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature is to be an activist, people-centred legislature.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature’s mission is to deepen democracy in KwaZulu-Natal through robust oversight, effective public involvement, progressive and efficient law-making.
