The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development is the department of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government mandated to improve the quality of life for the poor and vulnerable within the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa.

The vision of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development is to cultivate a caring and self- reliant society.

The mission of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Social Development is to provide integrated, comprehensive and sustained social development services to the people of KwaZulu-Natal.
