Krakeel River is a small town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, situated alongside the R62 Provincial Route in the Langkloof, east of Avontuur and approximately 200 km from Gqeberha (formerly known as Port Elizabeth).
The town is named after the river of the same name that passes through the area. The form Krakeelrivier is preferred for official purposes.
The town of Krakeel River falls within the Kou-Kamma Local Municipality and the Sarah Baartman District Municipality.
