“It has been one of my greatest dreams” – says Black Coffee after performing at Apollo Theatre
DJ Black Coffee had fans singing his praises when he announced that he would be performing at the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York.
The DJ shared the news on Twitter with a short clip. “I’m highly honoured to be gracing the stage of the Apollo Theatre. It has been one of my greatest dreams,” he said.
The Apollo Theatre stage has hosted the likes of James Brown and SA legend Hugh Masekela.

On Saturday Black Coffee got to write his name in the history books as well – literally, he actually signed his name in the theatre’s book and on their wall, hoping that other South African acts would pen their names next to his in the near future.
