The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is the department of the Gauteng Provincial Government responsible for economically transforming agri-food value chains, and ensuring sustainable development for healthy, food secure, integrated, smart and developed urban and rural communities in the Gauteng Province of South Africa.
The mission of the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development is to radically modernise and transform agri-food value chain, ensure sustainable environment and development of urban and rural communities by:
