Frankfort, also known as eDonqaba, is a village in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, situated approximately 25 km north-east of Qonce (formerly known as King William’s Town).
Frankfort falls within the Amahlathi Local Municipality and the Amathole District Municipality.
Frankfort village developed from a settlement of members of the British-German Legion in 1857, and is named after the city of Frankfurt in Germany.
This village should not be confused with the small farming town of Frankfort in the Free State Province of South Africa.
