The Eastern Cape Provincial Arts and Culture Council (ECPACC) is a public entity that is wholly owned by the Eastern Cape Provincial Government in South Africa.
The mission of the Eastern Cape Provincial Arts and Culture Council is to promote, support, develop, protect and preserve the arts; enhance public appreciation and participation in the arts; and ensure the development of a broad, inclusive and identifiable Eastern Cape culture.
The strategic objectives of the Eastern Cape Provincial Arts and Culture Council are:
- Credible strategic planning documents and reports submitted timeously to the Executive Authority
- Institutional review of the mandate and functions of the Entity
- Increase in the number of arts and culture projects of excellence promoted
- Increase in the number of cultural industries developed
- Increase in the number of community arts and culture individuals and/or groups granted funding
- Increase in the number of partnerships and linkages to promote arts and culture
