Colchester is a small town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, situated on the banks of the Sundays River and the south-eastern border of the Sundays River Valley region.
Colchester is located along the N2 National Route, approximately 40 km north-east of Gqeberha (formerly known as Port Elizabeth) and an hour away from Makhanda (formerly known as Grahamstown).
Colchester forms part of the Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality, which governs Gqeberha and the surrounding towns and suburbs.
