Clarkebury is a village in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, situated along the banks of the Mgwali River, a tributary of the Mbhashe River.
Clarkebury falls within the Dr AB Xuma Local Municipality and the Chris Hani District Municipality.
History
Clarkebury village was established in 1830 as a mission station of the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society. It was visited by James Backhouse in March 1839.
