Early Life

Suzy (수지) is a South Korean actress and solo singer under Management SOOP. Suzy debuted as a member of MissA in March 2010 under JYP Entertainment. She debuted as a soloist on January 24, 2017. On April 7, 2019, Suzy signed with Management SOOP. She was born in Gwangju, South Korea. Suzy has an older sister, named Su-bin, and a younger brother, named Sang-moon. She is the first female celebrity who received popularity awards in K-pop, K-drama and film. The first celebrity with the triple awards is Rain.

She attended School of Performing Arts Seoul. Before debuting, she was an online shopping model.
In 2009, she auditioned for Mnet Superstar K and made it through the preliminary round, but then she was eliminated.she caught the attention of a scout from JYP Entertainment and soon became a trainee.

Career

After 1 year of training, in March 2010, she debuted with Miss A (which first promoted in China as a trio group consisting of Suzy, Fei and Jia). Later, when Min joined the band, Miss A made their Korean debut in July 2010 through JYP Entertainment, with the single “Bad Girl Good Girl”. Scoring a number one position on the Gaon Digital Chart, which also became the best-performing song on the chart for the same year. Her first break came with the high-school drama Dream High, whose global success made her a star overnight.

She dropped her solo album Yes? No? on January 24th, 2017, and also released a duet, “Don’t Wait For Your Love” with Park Won in the same year. Her sophomore album Faces Of Love was released thereafter with the main single “Holiday” and she released her fourth music video with the single “Midnight”.

Since October 2010, Suzy became a hot for different music shows and events: MBC Show! Music Core, Inkigayo, M! Countdown, M! Countdown Hello Japan, the 21st Seoul Music Awards, 26th Golden Disk Awards In January 2011, she made her acting debut in the high-school drama ‘Dream High’ which increased her popularity even more.In January 2016, Suzy released a digital single titled “Dream” with EXO‘s Baekhyun, which won the “Best Collaboration” award at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Suzy’s mother decorated her coffee shop with anything related to Miss A. The cafe is called “Soo Caffe”

Personal Life

In March 2015, it was revealed that she’s dating actor Lee Min Ho. Suzy and Lee Min Ho broke up in November 2017. In March 2018, it was confirmed that Suzy is dating actor Lee Dong Wook. On July 2, 2018, it was confirmed Suzy and Lee Dong Wook broke up.

Suzy ranked 60th in the TC Candler “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2019”. On March 31, 2019 her contract with JYP expired and she decided not to renew.
