Career
Arnault was (born 4 June 1977) in Roubaix France, the son of Bernard Arnault and his first wife, Anne Dewavrin. He is a HEC Montréal and INSEAD graduate. In 2002, when Arnault was 25, he cofounded an internet startup and started working in LVMH’s marketing team. He then got his MBA from Insead and, in 2005, rejoined LVMH in the advertising department.
Two years later, Arnault was made director of communications at Louis Vuitton. He launched the “core values” campaigns, which featured international figures like Muhammad Ali, Angelina Jolie, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Bono.
Antoine Arnault launched Les Journées Particulières in 2011, in which members of the public were invited to visit the LVMH ateliers and witness the craftsmanship. This festival takes place across 14 countries and encourages LVMH brands to open their doors to the public. He was appointed chairman of Loro Piana two years later, after his father purchased 80% of the cashmere retailer.
Antoine Arnault took on his current role at LVMH and was tasked with managing the iconic fashion house’s image in 2018. After a personal friend bought Laperouse, a historic Parisian restaurant, Arnault took a minority stake in 2019.
Antoine Arnault sits on the board of LVMH like his sister Delphine and his father. He has been a board member at Madrigall, the holding company controlling family-owned French publisher Gallimard, since November 2013.
Antoine Arnault is younger brother of Delphine Arnault and has three half-brothers from his father’s second marriage to Canadian pianist Hélène Mercier; he’s a contemporary art enthusiast.
Personal Life
Antoine Arnault has been in a relationship with the Russian model and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova since 2011, with whom he has two sons, Maxim, born 2 May 2014, and Roman, born 4 June 2016. Vodianova announced their engagement on 31 December 2019.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of their 27 June 2020 wedding at Saint-Pierre d’Hautvillers Abbey, and the couple officially married on 21 June 2020 at a Paris registry office.
