Adendorp is a village in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa, situated on the banks of the Sundays River and alongside the R63 Provincial Route.
Adendorp village lies approximately 8 km south of Graaff-Reinet in the Sundays River Valley.
Adendorp falls within the Dr Beyers Naudé Local Municipality and the Sarah Baartman District Municipality.
History
The village was named after the former owner of the farm, N J Adendorff, who subdivided it into smallholdings in about 1858. Municipal status was attained in 1878.
