Even at 114 years old, Bernardo Lapallo is as vital as a young man! He looks much younger, and is able to move freely without any help. His mental health is good as well, and he reads books and solves crosswords to keep in shape.
Bernardo walks about 2.5 km. every day, still has his teeth intact and has very few wrinkles. According to him, it’s probably the genetics behind his longevity – his grandmother lived for 107 years, while his mother lived for 105 years. His father died at 99. Bernardo says that he received the best tips for longevity from his father, who was a herbalist and gave him advises on how to stay healthy and never get a disease. The secret behind longevity as he explains it, is a diet full of fruit, vegetables and plenty of water, as well as proper rest and sleep.
